During a personal appearance before a Delhi court today, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) only purpose was to link him to the liquor policy issue and that the main investigative body sought to discredit the Aam Aadmi Party.
When Kejriwal’s six-day ED remand expired, he was brought before Rouse Avenue Courts’ Special CBI Judge Kaveri Baweja to make his arguments.
According to Kejriwal, the two main goals of the ED probe were to: (1) fabricate a narrative to the public indicating that the Aam Aadmi Party was dishonest and responsible for the scandal; and (2) operate a “extortion racket” in order to extract money.
“ED ki jaanch ke bad hain asli sharaab ghotala shuru hota hain. So let’s see if ED can help us. Jaanch ki ED ke do maqsad hain. Aam Aadmi Party ne chori kari hain, Aam Aadmi Party bhrashtachaari hain, Aam Aadmi Party ne sharaab ghotala kiya. Ek smokescreen create karna pure desh ke saamne. Speaking in Hindi, Kejriwal stated, “Uske piche extortion racket karna jiske zariye wo paise ikhatte kar rahi hain.”
In addition, the Chief Minister stated that Sarath Reddy, one of the case’s approvers, was granted bail after he testified against him. Additionally, he said that following his incarceration, Reddy donated (chanda) Rs. 55 crores to the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
“Sarath Reddy, usko bail do wajah se mili ke case me.” Ishwarya Sarath Reddy’s assertion true? Furthermore, Sarath Reddy’s arrest has cost the BJP 55 crores of votes. He purchased his bail. The money trail is well-established. Account me sidhe gaya BJP ke? The money trail is real,” he declared.
According to Kejriwal, his name appeared in four different statements made by C Arvind, Sarath Redyy, YSRCP Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy (MSR), and his son Raghav Magunta.
“This is C Arvind Manish Sisodia ji’s secretary.” It’s not clear how much of an exemption there is, but even so, Sisodia ji ne unko kuch excise ke paperwork handover kiye. That is all. One day, you won’t even remember this. Kejriwal remarked, “Aisa koi aarop nahi hain.”
“Mere ghar me grehmantri aate hain, mantri aate hain, dignitaries aate hain apne apne secretaries leke,” he said. How can I exchange papers if I don’t have the necessary paperwork? How can I know which one is mine?It’s not like Maine humeen zameen beneath me nahi aati.

“We received a statement on July 16th. I will be leaving on July 18th. That’s not a true statement, uske baad unka.

On October 3, I will be turning 33. The goal was achieved. ED ka maqsad kewal aur kewal mujhe phasana tha, iska matlab ka.
Kejriwal went on to say that the investigative agency has only cited the pages that include the statements made against him out of the 25,000 pages that the ED had filed in the case.
He continued by saying that the court had not been presented with the one lakh pages that the ED’s office had as evidence of the Aam Aadmi Party’s innocence.
“Raghhav Magunta, teesra statement hai unke [MSR] ke bete ka.” When the raid occurred on September 16, Raghav Magunta did not make a statement; instead, he repeated his father’s words. Ten days ago, on February 10, I was arrested. Five assertions are presented here, each of which is more complicated than the others. Five machines are already in jail. This is awful news because on July 16th, an unidentified pitaaji remark was made, and on July 18th, an unknown chord was played.
“Seven statements unke hue,” the CM continued. Sixteen is not a bad number. In the seventh verse, there is a statement that is not true; neither a chord nor a mafinama are true.
Sixty-two statements are not included in the record.
“In my instance, Sarath Reddy, we had a raid on September 16th. We are just a group of people. We released a statement on November 9th. Usne kuchnahi bola. On November 10th, we were arrested. Nine statements are shown below. Hey, khilaaf nahi bolta mere. Six machine arrests in a row are not good. That’s why it’s so surprising that Vijay Nair is the youngest CM Sahab’s father. In response to the Enforcement Department’s (ED) claims that the AAP used proceeds from the Goa elections to pay for hawala channels in South Group that totaled Rs. 100 crores, Kejriwal cited Supreme Court Justice Sanjeev Khanna’s ruling that the ED’s claim is “a matter of debate.”
“Kaun rahe hain, Sanjeev Khanna ji. Iska ye saabit nahi hua matlab hua. It is not possible to achieve this using Iska matlab. We have rishwast li, logo ne rahe hain, us rishwast ka toh saboot hi nahi hain, Kejriwal said.
“Aur yahi puri jaanch ka maqsad tha,” he said. The Aam Aadmi Party is crushed, a smokescreen is created, and there is extortion in the picture.
The Chief Minister was further remanded to ED detention till April 1st by the special judge, who heard arguments from Kejriwal’s attorneys and the counsel for the ED.
