MUMBAI: Sharad Pawar, the founder of the National Congress Party (NCP), stated on Tuesday that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has reached a decision over the 39 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. He announced that there will be more rounds of talks for the five or six remaining constituencies.Maharashtra has 48 representatives in the Lok Sabha.
After meeting with a member of the former royal family, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Pawar was talking to reporters in Kolhapur.

The seasoned politician essentially suggested Shahu Maharaj’s candidacy as the MVA candidate in the subsequent Lok Sabha elections.

When asked how the opposition parties were progressing with their conversations over seat sharing, Pawar responded, “There is consensus on 39 seats.” We’ll have talks about the remaining five or six seats.
Pawar stated that he has not yet discussed Shahu Maharaj’s candidacy with the Congress, NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), or Shiv Sena (UBT).
“I’m happy to see him running in the Lok Sabha polls. He said, “He has a lengthy history of social service, which is consistent with the social reformers Shal Maharaj, Jyotiba Phule, and BR Ambedkar, the late Shal Maharaj.
Shahu Maharaj has been actively engaging in social activities and programmes, according to Pawar, although he usually avoids political gatherings.

The BJP and the Shiv Sena (undivided) won 41 of the 48 seats in Maharashtra that they jointly fought in the 2019 general elections.
Together, the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (undivided) only managed to win five seats.
But since 2019, the Shiv Sena and NCP have had vertical divisions, and the BJP is strengthening its base by bringing in unhappy politicians from other parties.
