 India VS  England

On day one of the fifth and final Test match here on Thursday, March 7, 2024, Kuldeep Yadav struck twice to leave the visitors at 100 for two at lunch. Zak Crawley scored a stylish unbroken half-century after weathering a long opening session from the Indian pacers.
The explosive combination of Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah made the ball speak as was to be expected, but despite being repeatedly dismissed, Ben Duckett (27 off 58) and Crawley (61 batting off 71) managed to see the first 14 overs of fast bowling.India VS  England

Before Kuldeep arrived to bowl in the eighteenth over, the first change was Ravichandran Ashwin, who was playing in his 100th Test match.

On his route to his half-century, Crawley—who has been England’s most impressive batsman in this series—played some lovely cover drives off the pacers while being extremely deliberate with the shots he chose.

In the morning session, Siraj bowled eight overs and Bumrah bowled seven, both of whom gave up 24 runs.

Even though he was hit for two fours in his first five balls, Kuldeep did not hesitate to air the ball, and Shubman Gill, who made an incredible grab while sprinting backwards from cover, punished Duckett’s misplayed shot. Crawley was defeated by the pacers in the opening hour of play, just like Duckett, but he chose the correct balls to show off his cover drives. Before completing his fourth half-century of the series with a boundary down the ground, he also made it through a near DRS call.
Crawley came out to smash Ashwin for a six over far on in the following over.

India VS  England

The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) stadium in Dharamsala hosted the fifth and final Test match between England and India on Thursday, March 7, 2024. England captain Ben Stokes had earlier won the toss and chosen to bat first. The series is already up 3-1 to India.

Proud Moment for Ashwin, his family, and the country
Rohit Skipper During the toss, Rohit added, “We would have batted first as well.” We have a chance to end this series on a good note since we have performed really well thus far. This pitch ought to bounce better than it did in the previous games in this series. It’s a good pitch to bat on, and I don’t believe it will get much worse. Ash has shown to be a true Indian cricket veteran. What a great time this is for him, his family, and his country. We’ll be cheering him on to work his magic. When Bumrah reappears, Akash Deep gets left out.

Given that Patidar was hurt last night, Devdutt Padikkal makes his debut.”
