Xiaomi 14

The second Leica-branded smartphone from Xiaomi to be released in India is the Xiaomi 14, which will formally debut on March 7. Xiaomi recently revealed that the Xiaomi 14 with a Leica camera is the company’s most recent flagship model. The business is finally introducing the smartphone to a worldwide market after it was first introduced in China in October 2023.

One of the first smartphones in China using a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC was the Xiaomi 14. It will also be one of the company’s most compact flagships this year, with a 6.36-inch 120Hz display with FHD+ resolution and a maximum brightness of 3000 nits, given that the same model is being introduced in India.

The Xiaomi 14’s triple-camera arrangement, consisting of a 50 MP wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lens, is its main selling point. The smartphone also features a 32 MP front-facing camera. This phone was the first to be released with the company’s HyperOS (review), which is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), as far as software goes.

The Xiaomi 14 also has a metal-glass sandwich construction, an IP68 rating for increased water and dust resistance, a USB 3.2 connection for quick data transmission, and compatibility for the newest wireless protocols, including Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 7.

As of right now, there is no word on whether the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which will be unveiled at the forthcoming MWC 2024, would be released in India by the business. The Xiaomi 14 is anticipated to be priced similarly to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, which had a debut price of Rs 74,999. This smartphone will face up against other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 powered Android smartphones on the market, such as the OnePlus 12, iQOO 12 (review), and others.
